Impact of PA

A couple years ago, Jonathan went with a group to build homes for widows in Guatemala. It was through this trip that the idea was planted to donate 10% of J.Rich Atlanta's Q4 profit to provide housing for those without.

10% of J.Rich Atlanta’s Quarter 4 profits go towards providing homes for widows in Chichicastenango, Guatemala

This quarter we are working with an incredible organization who is working to empower and encourage the people of Chichicastenango, Guatemala. PA has developed several different community driven projects since their launch in 2003. These projects employ over 75 Guatemalans, making them the largest employer in their community.

PA's projects include widow's home construction and repair. Since 2006, this program has provided for over 1,000 widows and their families. They also have a shoe factory, which employs Guatemalans to make the shoes and also in turn provides shoes for kids in the community. On average, about 50 pairs of shoes are given to kids in need each week. The meal program at PA serves over 2,000 meals a week, resulting in 750 kids and widows are fed each week through their 3 feeding programs. In addition to all these amazing programs they also have a dental clinic, and a family sponsorship program which educates and empowers families to be self sustainable.

PA is making a huge impact in Guatemala and we are excited to play a small part in their efforts. Through our partnership, we will sponsor the construction of 10 homes for widows and their families. In addition we will also sponsor the restoration of 5 widows homes.

We are excited to continue to follow this journey with PA and learn more about the stories of the families we have the honor of serving!
